Meet Dr. Assad Mujtaba

Assad Mujtaba, born and raised in Queens, New York, to Pakistani-American immigrants, later moved to Clifton. His family background is steeped in service, politics, and healthcare. His father, a former ROTC member, has extensive experience in U.S. and Pakistan political and policy work, serving as Special Envoy on Pakistan at Foreign Policy. Assad's mother, a dedicated pharmacist in Clifton and Director of Interfaith at Canan Baptist Church, left a lasting impact on her community.

Dr. Mujtaba's  educational path includes a Doctor of Medicine followed by a MBA from Atlanta, Georgia. Furthering his expertise, he pursued a Postgraduate in Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. Transitioning into nursing, Assad earned a Master of Science in Nursing (Cum Laude) and a Post-Master's Advanced Certificate in Family Practitioner from Molloy College. His educational journey culminated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from NYU, reflecting a diverse foundation in healthcare and administration. This underscores his multidimensional approach to healthcare leadership and commitment to elevating standards in patient care and education.

Assad Mujtaba's journey reflects a commitment to community service, showcased through his three-year operation of a clinic in front of Clifton City Hall. During the COVID surge, the clinic, now merged with All Health Medical Group, played a pivotal role, serving up to 200 patients daily. This move not only sustained healthcare services but also contributed to the economic vitality of Passaic County.

Beyond healthcare, Assad has demonstrated leadership as the Director of Education at Hunter Business School, emphasizing visionary planning and academic excellence. His faculty roles across institutions and involvement as a visiting accreditation team member for the Middle States Association highlight his dedication to maintaining high standards in education.

Now seeking the role of Passaic County Commissioner, Assad envisions a prosperous, inclusive, and vibrant county. With a focus on recognizing the diverse demographics of the county and bridging the gap within the Republican party, he aims to represent the direction set by the community. As a leader, Assad sees himself as a bridge between local government and the people of Clifton.
